there was a cute song my children sang when they were in nursery school (is that a still a term?) that went like this: the brown cow drank the chocolate milk… and while i was flipping through my photos i noticed something that i never had before. i wear brown. almost as much as blue. who knew? and i thought i would share my fondness of brown with you today. some of us shy away from brown, thinking it isn’t a flattering color. but i think a neutral can fit seamlessly into your wardrobe, and become a workhorse for you. see for yourself.

The boucle blazer looks especially flattering with your hair, echoing the highlights and lowlights of it. Since my hair is brown, I find that tones that are similar to it are especially flattering to me, so I am putting more brown into my wardrobe. On a side note, I’ve noticed that eye shadow that echoes one’s hair color is usually very flattering, so I try to use tones that are as close as possible to it.
