happy friday, gang! we’re kicking off the weekend in style with a festive outfit and a delicious treat. the table is set, and my best buddy Oscar is on hand to welcome the weekend. as always, Fridays would not be complete without a cocktail. i’ve been on a martini kick over the past few weeks. so i’m continuing that today with a slight variation. it’s time to kickback. relax. and cheers to you, ladies!
since the holidays are here, it’s fun to add a little glam to my outfit. is there such a thing as too many sequins? i think not. so why not up the ante with a sequin duster? dress it up as i’ve done today, but it would look amazing dressed down with a humble pair of blue jeans. these crystal drop earrings have been on repeat this season. it’s the perfect holiday accessory.
if there was one thing, mr. style loved it was Medjool dates. it was a delicious treat any time of year. he introduced them to me years ago, so i love them too. when i’m looking for a healthy snack, i pick Natural Delights Medjool Dates as they’re loaded with natural fiber and are high in antioxidants and micronutrients. add dark chocolate and sea salt into the equation, and you have a taste extravaganza that’s the perfect holiday dessert. let me assure you, mr. style would have been one happy camper adding dark chocolate Medjool dates to his snack list.
Natural Delights Medjool dates are raised on sunshine in the deserts of the southwest USA. Medjool dates require high heat and low humidity. and Natural Delights is committed to sustainability, so there are no pesticides and no additives. now that’s a snack after my own heart. but if you are looking for a special holiday treat, then look no further than Natural Delights Dark Chocolate Medjool Dates. don’t they look gorgeous on a festive holiday tray?
Fill your cocktail shaker halfway with ice and pour in the ingredients.
Shake until chilled and strain the mixture into the glass.
Garnish with two raspberries and sprig of rosemary.
enjoy dark chocolate Medjool dates with friends and family. or maybe just keep them to yourself. on second thought, this tasty treat just has to be shared! and they’re available at Amazon.
a big thank you to Natural Delights for this sponsored post. and thank you, lovely readers, for supporting the brands that allow me to bring you fresh ideas.

Lovely. Just lovely in that sequin duster. You look regal, as does sweet Oscar in one of the pics. Chuckled at the one where he appears to gaze longingly at the dates. Still enjoy all you have to offer, Beth!~
Beth! What a gorgeous outfit! That sparkly duster! Those red shoes! I love, love, love dates, but have never had them chocolate-covered. They are now on my wish list, along with some cherry brandy. The vodka is covered! Cheers!
Just so much to take in. I love the red shoes, the sparkling and festive look is just beautiful. The little plaid trees and those lucious looking dates. Poor Oscar can only look at the chocolate treats. I like to split dates, add some cream cheese and A candied walnut on top. Really good. Everything is beautiful Beth. Thanks for sharing,
What a lovely and colorful post. Love your outfit. The duster is absolutely beautiful. No petites left. I may have gone for the coral shade. Wish I had seen this earlier. Oscar would like a treat by the looks of it. And red shoes-YES!!!
I love medjool dates but have never stuffed them. My mother in law always put pecans in hers. They are good no matter what you do with them.
Merry Christmas.
Feel this post was mean’t for me to see today. I just got back from the store today & bought some medjool dates ! I’ve never had them chocolate covered but that sounds devine. I bet I could take those dates & make my own dark chocolate to dip them in. I’m thinking similar to what I do with strawberries. So thank you for the suggestion! Your ootd looks beautiful & Oscar is adorable as always.
Beth, the sequined duster looks fabulous on you! The reviews say the duster runs large. Do you recommend sizing down or ordering normal size? We’re the same size, so I’m curious if you sized down. Thanks!!
I have a vintage gold sequin loose jacket that I wear over blue jeans or a black top and black pants. I love it! I think the duster would probably overwhelm my short petite body – but it looks outstanding on you! Thanks
That blouse is the stuff of Christmas Eve dreams, Beth! I can see myself in the duster over my cream silk cami, now🎁
I love Madjool dates, too, and do them similarly to another ladies post, except with soft goat cheese and a candied pecan. All roads lead to Rome. 😉 I think I am going to experiment with dipping them in dark and milk chocolate now too!
I hope your wearing Ruby Woo. I finally got up the courage to order one and hopefully it looks as wonderful on me as it does you. Warm and bright but not dark. Lovely – thanks for the courage, Beth. 🥂
You look so beautiful in that outfit. I can see you at a great dinner place and on the dance floor in that outfit.
I put those dates in my cart and came back an hour later and they were sold out. I’ll watch and get them another time. Dates are one of my favorites. When I get a sweet tooth, I eat one and the craving for a cookie goes away. What a bonus to have chocolate in them. Have a great weekend!!!
Medjool dates are sublime. I like to stuff them with peanut butter and roll in granulated sugar. Chill and eat whenever you need one! Makes a perfect little dessert! You look so comfortably elegant!

I really appreciate!
