Denim is an easy option for Thanksgiving, and it’s easy to elevate your denim look with ecru denim, instead of blue jeans. Take your outfit up a notch but keep it comfortable with a Washable Silk Stretch Tee. A Coatigan is cozy and chic this season, longline styles are especially on-trend this year. Wear a colorful, festive scarf for a pop of autumnal color. You can wear a large or medium scarf loosely around your neck or shoulders to add a pop of sophistication to your denim-based outfit.

Keep your outfit extra cozy and effortlessly chic with cashmere. A cashmere sweater feels instantly stylish no matter what you’re wearing on the bottom. The cozy feeling can extend right to your outer layer with a knit blazer – it adds just enough sophistication but keeps your outfit soft and comfortable. Neutral outfits sometimes call out for a pop of color, adding a colorful neck scarf can be the finishing piece to top off your cozy outfit with sophistication.

Perhaps your Thanksgiving is a little on the dressy side, there’s no reason you can’t still embrace the coziness of the season. Go for a monochromatic ensemble with a pencil skirt and a turtleneck, then go for suede heeled boots. A gorgeous belted wrap coat in camel is the most classic and sophisticated piece of outerwear to top a monochromatic black outfit!

Even if your Thanksgiving is super casual, add some festive glam to your outfit with coated gold jeans. Metallics are big again this season and there’s no easier way to dress up your denim than to wear a metallic style. Tie it all together with a metallic stripe sweater. For your outerwear, keep things polished with a pearlized puffer vest. I have last year’s gold puffer vest from Talbots and it’s such a fun way to wear a puffer vest with a little something extra!

Corporate Grey is a trending color this year and a fun way to wear it is to go monochromatic, but with a twist - make one of your pieces a grey print, like Glen Plaid. Glen Plaid is so great for fall, its neutral grey tones can be paired with so many fall colors with super-chic results. To recreate this ensemble I wore several years ago (the Oversized Turtleneck Tunic Sweater is still available!), go with a lighter-toned pant, like the Chatham Slim Ankle Pants.
The coziest Thanksgiving outfit is going to be knitwear from head to toe. Several years ago, I shared an all-knit outfit that is still just as stylish now as it was all those years ago! Just wondering why the items you show to purchase are not the same as what you actually have on in the pictures. The items you wear are similar but never the same.
To answer your question I can break the blog down into segments:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday are blog posts that share outfits that are available to purchase as they are current.
Sunday and Wednesday we share a montage of photos for inspiration and link similar items as the photos are from
past blog posts that were shoppable at the time they were published.
Please stop by tomorrow (Monday) or Tuesday, Thursday or Friday where you can shop the post with the exact items!
Hope this helps!
Hi Beth, I appreciate the Thanksgiving outfits, as I live in the NE, but I just found out I’ll be going to Florida for TG! Yikes! I have no idea what’s in fashion for TG; November in Florida! Any suggestions? You are probably in a similar climate. I can’t see that I’ll be wearing any vests or turtlenecks there, but we are going out for dinner and I want to look festive.
Thanks!
