if there’s one thing i never tire of, it’s this: trying a new skincare line. after forty some odd years of washing my face—day and night—and then adding a dollop of moisturizer into the mix, i like to think of myself as something of an expert. let me put it this way: not only can i spell “experience”, but i have more than a few years of it under my belt. so, when QVC sent off the Elemis Super Skin collection and asked for my opinion, i didn’t hesitate. while i received compensation to review these products all opinions are my own and i could not and did not wait to get Elemis into my daily routine.
the first thing that impressed me about Elemis was its clean, crisp, and modern packaging. but when the lid came off of the pro collagen cleansing balm i knew there was something different. what a refreshing smell. unlike any other cleanser i’ve used to date. Elemis, we’re off to a good start.
once i rinsed the cleanser off my skin it felt smooth and supple. and that’s exactly how i like it. afterward, i applied the pro-collagen marine cream — light and airy it felt. such an important factor, as i like a no fuss no muss look.
since i was a teenager, the part of my skincare routine that i’ve stuck to religiously is cleansing day and night. but in recent years, i’ve switched up my moisturizing routine. i now have a moisturizer for day and a different one for the evening. since there’s no makeup to worry about during the nighttime hours, it doesn’t bother me if my evening one is a heavier cream, oil or serum.
it’s comforting to know that a nighttime moisturizer keeps on delivering essential nourishment w even when i’m off the clock. my skin is actually getting 24/7 coverage – pro-collagen marine cream during the day and peptide night recovery cream-oil during the night. what are my nighttime rituals exactly? besides a cleansed and moisturized face? Well, i crawl between crisp sheets and read for twenty minutes or so. there’s no television blaring, just the soft hum of our ceiling fan and the sound of my own thoughts. then it’s lights out for a good night sleep. nothing compares to eight hours of shut-eye, drinking plenty of water, and adding a few good skincare products into your daily routine to keep my skin looking its very best. Doesn’t every 58-year-old woman want that? Or even the men for that matter who need to take care of their skin just as much as the ladies do?
are you like me, ladies? excited to test out a new skincare line? then i’m happy to report that Elemis should be the next product you try. and let me know your thoughts. i’m always eager to share my opinion with you, but i love it, even more, when the roles reverse.
a big thank you to QVC and Elemis for this sponsored post. and thank you lovely readers for supporting the brands that allow me to bring fresh ideas daily

I’m not familiar with Elemis, so thanks for the introduction. I don’t have thick, beautiful hair, and that’s sad, but I will say I’ve always been fortunate that I have good skin. The universe is balanced. 😉
i think i would go with good skin any day of the week, sue! as for hair, i think we all face different challenges. it’s all about figuring out what works! once we do then it’ll decide to change. i don’t know why but hair has a mind all of its own.

Beth, I’ve seen the Elemis presentations on the Q several times this month. Glad to know you like them. Thanks for the recommendation. BTW, I watched yesterday’s videos. I love those type posts.
thanks terry! i’m still getting the hang of YouTube. it is a whole different ballgame over there. but i like it. let me know your thoughts on elemis if you do decide to try them out.

Beth I used elemis products years ago after having a spa treatment where they used the products. I loved the night and day silk ampules. It makes your skin feel like satin. I forgot all about them until this post, maybe worth another try. However I am very pleased with all the products I am now using. I will keep these in mind next time I want to try something new and different. I am always looking and trying new things, but so far what I am using has been tried and true for the last 9 months for me.
hi kathy! several readers shared that elemis products were used in spa treatments. that’s a good sign. but keep elemis in mind and it’s available at QVC! how easy is that?!

I have to say that is a beautiful picture of you! I am interested in learning about this line of products. I also love your eyebrows. I am obsessed about eyebrows lately because I’m in transition with my hair, dyed to natural salt and pepper, and my eyebrows need a change also. Not sure where the hair will end up I’m on the fifth month of growing it out. What product do you use on your eyebrows? They are lovely.
i don’t know if you watched my makeup tutorial (i say that lightly) YouTube video. over there i shared all the products. but it is a brow kit by benefit. four easy steps!
