Happy Sunday from Barcelona! We are kicking off travel week today with a few Fall and Winter Travel Outfits. These outfits are great for airport travel, I also have tips on what to wear and what not to wear when traveling by plane. What should you wear to the airport?
- Comfortable pants and tops.
- I typically wear a sweater as airports and airplanes are notoriously cold. Cashmere and wool for winter. Linen and cotton for summer.
- Athleta makes a great travel pant called The Brooklyn. Vuori makes a great pair of joggers, and you can’t beat denim for its durability and ability to hide wear and tear. But I also like Spanx Perfect Pant
- Comfortable shoes.
- A pair of slip-on loafers or sneakers are my top choices. APL slip-on sneakers are one of my favorites.
- A third layer. Jackets, coats, or cardigans, depending on the time of year.
- Denim jackets, slim puffer coats or a trench coat are my go-to’s. But a long cardigan or sweater blazer works, too.

What shouldn't you wear to the airport?
- I don’t wear flip-flops or heels. Traversing through an airport can be tricky. There are stairs to climb, escalators to navigate, and sometimes you have to run to your gate to catch your flight. Flip flops and heels just don’t cut it.
- I also don’t wear tight clothing. And I typically don’t wear shorts or skirts. Now and again, I will wear a dress especially if I’m headed to a warm climate. Think Caribbean Cruise or Beach Resort.

Mediterranean Cruise Aboard the Star Legend
I am wrapping up my Mediterranean cruise with Windstar, on their ship, The Star Legend. Our voyage included stops in Livorno, Nice, and Marseilles, with our final destination of Barcelona. We disembarked the Star Legend this morning and I added an extra day so my eldest son, Alex, and I could spend an extra day exploring Barcelona.
