Happy Sunday, Ladies! This week between Christmas and New Year’s Eve is the time on the blog when we enjoy taking a look back at some of our favorite outfits, in that past we had a retrospective of the whole year, but this year, we are focusing on some favorite outfits from Fall and Winter 2024. I also have a round-up of my favorite travel and loungewear of 2024, and the most popular Amazon items found on Style at a Certain Age this year. So sit back, relax, and enjoy our Favorite Fall and Winter Looks From 2024.
Leopard is the New Black
Leopard print is not just a trend; it’s a timeless classic. It transcends seasons and styles, making it a worthy investment piece in your wardrobe. From casual to formal, you can effortlessly mix leopard print with various textures and colors.

Perfect in Pink
Since the temps are cooler it’s time for corduroys, which are a nice change of pace from jeans or chinos. Pink is my signature color, so these pink corduroys (available in six colors) from Vineyard Vines are the perfect choice. If you love a preppy look as much as I do, then a fisherman’s sweater (old, similar here and here) will do the trick. It’s classic, timeless, and puts a prep into my step every time.

Fall for Knitwear
Dark grey is one of my favorite cold-weather neutrals because it can lean cool and warm so it pairs beautifully with reds and browns, as well as blues and blacks. This Cable Knit Rollneck Sweater is in the supersoft yarn that J.Crew is known for. Though it’s not cashmere, this sweater is incredibly soft and comfortable. It’s a great compromise if cashmere has a price tag that is too steep for you. I have worn this sweater a lot lately, it’s a great go-to sweater for any type of outfit.

Fall Into Neutral
Here’s an example of a style uniform. Today, I paired my gray cashmere shell with a long cardigan, both from Quince. Denim is back on style rotation since the temps have cooled off. White denim is perfect to wear 365 days a year, but I particularly like white denim paired with gray for a chic color combination.

Denim on Denim Rides Again
Denim has become a timeless wardrobe staple, transcending seasons and trends. In 2024, one of the most exciting fashion statements is the rise of denim on denim, often called the “Canadian Tuxedo.” Whether you’re a trendsetter or a denim novice, integrating this double denim look into your wardrobe can elevate your style game.
