If it’s summertime, then the time is right for fun and bold summer prints. I love prints all year long, but I especially love summer prints. With their fun motifs and bright, bold colors, summer prints come in all kinds of styles from pants to tops. I even love a classic Hawaiian shirt! Summer prints remind us of summer vacation, maybe it’s nostalgia, but a beautiful, colorful print brings a smile to my face whenever I see one – and especially if I am wearing one! Today I am sharing a flirty Feminine Summer Blouse with a fun and fruity motif.

If you’re looking for a romantic, feminine summer blouse, look no further than Anthropologie. While you’re there, you’ll also find fun summer prints. The Bow Back Swing Blouse features trending puffy sleeves and a swingy bodice which is comfortable and cool in the summer heat.

This top sold out at Anthropologie this morning, but I found a very similar version at Chico's: Floral Eyelet Shirt. Alternatively, try this top: Lemon Print Blouse; or this one: Puff Sleeve Ruffled Top.
Plus, I have collected many other similar options from Talbots, Chico's, and Anthropologie in the shoppable collage at the end of the post.

My favorite part of this top? The striped bow, of course! The low-cut, V-back of the blouse is finished with a lovely pattern-mixing trick of adding a stripe to a floral pattern. This is one of my favorite ways to mix patterns and this top does it in a subtle and effective way.
With a feminine summer blouse this bold, both in style and pattern, I want to keep my bottoms simple and understated. I can go a lot of ways with my bottoms and because of the warm weather, I went with The City Short from Ann Taylor. Black shorts work here, but I can also go with white for an overall lighter look.
The City Short is a classic – it comes in black, white, navy, khaki, and pink; and in both regular and petite sizes. If you want a longer length, go for the Metro Short, or the Boardwalk Short. Both of the longer hem shorts come in a wide range of current colors.

I chose olive green accessories to coordinate with the green leaves in the orange fruit print of my feminine summer blouse. An easy choice because they seamlessly match my top without taking attention away from the print and they’re a softer color than black. My sandals are a few years old, from Everlane, but I found a couple of similar options: here and here.

My Hyer Goods Bucket bag is from Madewell. Hyer Goods bags are sold through Madewell but are not a Madewell brand. They are a NYC company that creates beautifully made accessories from “luxury leftovers” – deadstock materials and factory scraps. By upcycling “trash” Hyer Goods reduces waste sent to landfills and eliminates the energy footprint required to cultivate livestock, land, crops, and fertilizer. The result is a well-made product, beautifully designed that you can feel good about investing in.

You look adorable, Kelly! I love my citrus-themed tops/cardi/dress from Talbots through the years (lemons, oranges, peaches). So fun and refreshing! Thanks for highlighting this 🙂
Thanks, Carolina Girl! With bold yellow, orange, red, and peach colors trending this year, there are so many fruit and floral motifs to choose from. It’s a fun moment to shop for summer prints! Have a great day, xo Kelly
Back in the day I had a halter top with that exact same oranges print. Wore it until it fell apart. So I was excited to see it again after all these years but unfortunately it is sold out. I have found that to be the case with other featured items too. Oh well, now to search for this print elsewhere – it’s lovely!
Hi Anne, It’s hard to stay ahead of inventory sometimes – I am sorry that top is already sold out. I did find a similar pattern, though it’s a maxi skirt: Refreshing Orange Maxi Skirt.
It’s funny how popular that print is for tablecloths and curtains, makes me wish I was a seamstress! I hope that helps! Thanks for stopping by today, xo Kelly
The lemon swing top is sold out! 🙁 But thank you for showing other options! Love your posts!
Hi Paula, such a bummer that the top sold out! Thank you so much for stopping by 🙂 xo Kelly
