it’s first call for fall with one of my favorite brands – Talbots. and let me be the first to say i wanted “one of everything, please,” from their new catalog. while checks are on-trend this season and i chose a gorgeous check blazer with a muted color palette. there’s something to be said about a tried and true staple. like a pair of indigo navy pants that will serve me well season after season. these Chatham ankle pants are a perennial go-to due to the fit. first, i love the slim fit with a side zip crafted from comfortable stretch fabric. second, the silhouette is flattering and forgiving with no bulk at the waistband. and Talbots is offering $25 off all regular price pants and jeans. that’s a win/win
Talbots spoke to thousands of women and discovered that despite a closetful of options, women only wear the same six pairs of pants. again. and again. and i know why! ‘cuz when you find pants that fit you well you will buy them in every color under the sun. nine-in-10 (90%) women said that when buying a pair of pants, they care the most about comfort. and i quite agree!
but every comfy pair of pants needs the perfect style companion. enter a cashmere sweater in a gorgeous shade of blue along with a check blazer in a longer length that’s certain to be a closet staple throughout fall.
great outfits need great accessories. how about this gorgeous quilted leather tote bag? notice the tortoise hardware. and what about an indigo blue scarf with peacock feathers and houndstooth? the pattern mix is built-in. let’s not forget about a fedora hat that’s functional and fashionable.

blue and brown are perfect fall companions. suede driving moc’s complement the indigo blue pants and tie back to the peacock feathers scarf.
but the wool felt fedora is the icing on the cake. doesn’t it look spectacular paired with a check blazer?

You look beautiful in all of the fall colors! And a nod to Mr. Style with the fedora too 🙂 Hope you are healing, Beth <3
Beth, you look Fabulous in Anything you Wear. God Bless Mr. Style 🙏he is in my Prayer’s. Jr Style is doing a Wonderful Job Also.❤ i also love Shopping @ Talbots.
You are looking beautiful in this post.
I wish Talbots offered longer tops &/or tall sizes. I’m long waisted and need a tall size for anything with a waist.
Patti! I’m a Talbots associate and just wanted you to know Talbots offers “long length” pants on line! You can stop by any store and an associate would be happy to help you place an order – no shipping charges if order is placed in store!
You look beautiful in this outfit! I bought that blazer as soon as I saw it in the catalog. I tend to get one new blazer for fall each year and knew this one would be “it” for me. Goes with so many colors that I have. One thing I love about Talbots is that if you bought a pair of indigo pants last year, they are the same color this year and so you can build your wardrobe over several years. I rarely wear out my blazers and jackets so appreciate when I can replace an old pair of pants or skirt and it still blends with the old items. Love those shoes too! May have to pick up those for fall as well.
Gorgeous as ever. That hat is fabulous. 🙂
You look terrific! Love the outfit. Hope u r doing okay
The entire outfit is outstanding but the scarf absolutely makes the jacket and entire outfit pop! I would wear this outfit to travel in and the hat would come in handy as my husband never wants to give me time to style my hair before we get on the road each morning out of the hotel on to the next adventure! Love it all!
I love fall…..the jackets, sweaters, shoes and handbags!I
You are according inspiration in many ways!
Love the whole look! You look great in the hat! I’m short and some things just don’t work on me, but I can dream tall!
You are such a great representative for all of the brands that you share on your blog! Great personal style! I always look forward to everything you share, from clothing and accessories, make up, to recipes and home related decor.
Went to Talbots over the weekend and came home with a full shopping bag. Talbots is one of the few retailers that carry well made clothes for plus size women. Came home with two pairs of dress pants in a curvy fit. And picked up a print cashmere sweater
Ditto on Nancy’s reply. Well said!
I felt the same way Beth! I turned those pages in the fall catalog with anticipation! Everything so beautiful! They really nailed it this season!
Always beautiful Beth! 🙏 ❤️
I am a Talbots girl for sure! Got my catalog today and drooled. I only shop their sales and Talbot’s Outlet. Everything is well made and I enjoy their pieces for years. . Meeting friends for lunch tomorrow and I will be wearing my Talbots!
Smashingly good looking! You wear that hat very well! Polished, chic, and very stylish. I love your look.
Love this–I’ve been eyeing that jacket–I love that they finally did a longer length jacket. I am on their Advisory Board, where they send out surveys to see what upcoming items you do/don’t care for, and the next few months are going to have some fabulous pieces. I’m excited about their fall line-ups. You picked wisely–they have a lot of things that will mix/match with these items, and they’ll fit other pieces in a wardrobe, too. They have some really nice shoes and boots coming up, too. I always like their selections. Well done–the hat is jaunty! I agree–I think Mr. Style would approve. And Jr Style is doing great!
I really like the blazers you are wearing. Do they have shoulder pads?
Hi
Luv your stuff.
Just a comment about wide leg jeans
I’m thrilled to see this trend return.
I hate the skinny leg look, especially after 60 +
I’m 5’3” so I have to be careful with this.
I find that wide leg jeans shouldn’t go lower then my ankle, perhaps even slightly above.
Otherwise there is too much “pant leg”
…just too much !
