a big thank you to Pantene for this sponsored post. and thank you lovely readers for supporting the brands that allow me to bring you fresh ideas.
i went grey gracefully. and if there’s one question that’s asked time and again on the blog, it’s “how do i take care of my silver hair?” well, i’ll let you in on a secret. Pantene has me covered. especially with the relaunch of Pantene Pro-V Silver Expressions Purple Shampoo. because purple shampoo is the key ingredient when it comes to keeping my silver locks bright and toned. and i’m thrilled to partner with Pantene today to give you the low down about Pantene Pro-V Silver Expressions Purple Shampoo.
first off, i only use purple shampoo twice a week. but believe you me if i skip a week my natural gray hair just doesn’t look quite right. which is the number one reason i rely on Pantene Pro-V Silver Expressions Purple Shampoo to help me rock my natural grey locks. this purple shampoo helps neutralize excess yellow brought on by the environment. it’s crazy but gray hair can be challenging to maintain. and it might surprise you to know it can even turn brassy. but purple shampoo works to remove dulling residue that can leave silver or grey hair looking yellow – think of it like a color-correcting shampoo.
Pantene’s paraben- and silicone-free purple shampoo is perfect for those of us who choose to rock our natural greys or those of you who dye your hair silver. it contains a purple pigmented cream that reduces brassiness and brightens my silver hair.
after i apply Pantene Pro-V Silver Expressions Purple Shampoo i leave it on between three to five minutes before rinsing. this gives the product time to eliminate any brassy undertones, leaving my silver hair bright and shiny.
healthy-looking grey hair with a formula that’s 100% paraben- and silicone-free.
Pantene Pro-V Silver Expressions Purple Shampoo infuses my silver hair with hints of a fresh luxurious lotus flower.
if you’ve chosen to embrace your natural grey hair like me or decided to dye your hair silver then we need the right hair care products to keep us in tip-top condition. that’s where Pantene Pro-V Silver Expressions Purple Shampoo steps into play. who doesn’t want to be well on their way to a great hair day? make sure to pick it up now at Amazon.

Hi Beth, since you gave me the I inspiration to go au naturale I also use a purple/blue shampoo too, it certainly does help to keep it tip top. I noticed you have the Channel Chance perfume, also what looks like Ralph Loren “Woman” if so I had the RL bought me for my 60th birthday and I really like it xoxo
Do you use the conditioner? What other shampoo do you use when you don’t use Pantene?
Beth, this is very interesting and because I have gone totally grey. My hair is pretty much white I want to try it. One question though is do you use a conditioner and if so what do you recommend.
Thank you for all the great ideas your very helpful. Have a good day.
I’ve started this journey of going grey gracefully, it’s amazing how liberating it is.
Just been on amazon here in the uk, got a great deal on this product, so ordered going to put in my Xmas stocking!
Thank you for this information. I used Pantene purple shampoo in the past until they stopped selling it for a few years. Good to know that it is available again!
It really does help keep brassiness away. I think a lot of times, water has minerals in it that can affect hair as well.
Catching up on posts tonight!… Used Pantene’s purple shampoo a long time ago…then it was gone…nice to see it’s back. Have used Jhirmack for years now…shampoo excellent…conditioner not so much…causes brassiness…using Aussie’s Miracle Curls Leave In Detangling Milk since I have curly gray white hair. Garnier has new Oat Milk conditioner I’m curious to try! Maybe milk-based is the answer for gray? Stay tuned…
Thank you, Beth, for touching our lives the way you do!
P.S. For those ready to transition to gray, a fabulous haircut will make the journey amazing.
Interested in the going grey journey. Thinking about it and looking for inspiration from others.

As a 69 year old I am tired of the hair coloring treadmill. I started coloring it myself in my late 30’s, and have had it professionally colored every 4 weeks for the past 25 years. I recently did a calculation of just how much money I have spent over time, and it’s outrageous.
I am now going to start going every 6 weeks. I am a brunette, and I have been having my colorist go lighter with hints of gold so it’s not a super dark or severe color. I am going to have it highlighted in the spring to lighten it more. I plan on going white/silver, or whatever it is!, in the next couple of years. Although it’s a bit daunting to think about the process, I know when I take the plunge, and I have a plan to do so it will work out. Thanks for the inspiration.
I love purple shampoo, but resist because of how it stains the tub and tile. What about this one?
