Happy Friday, ladies! Greetings from the Mediterranean! I am writing from my cabin on the Windstar Surf as we head to Montenegro! On Tuesday, we left Rome with our first stop in Sorrento, Italy. I enjoyed the day with a boat tour to Positano, a charming fishing village that's crazy about lemons and limoncello. I had a lovely lunch overlooking the beach and finished the day with a walkabout in Sorrento, complete with a gelato! The weather turned a corner, and we had to skip our port day in Sicily. The best-laid plans of mice and men…
But I am thoroughly enjoying the cruise and have met the most delightful people—couples and singles alike. I love traveling because you never know who you might meet! Of course, I will have a full recap of my Mediterranean adventures when I return home.
Before I left town, Kelly and I put together a lovely recipe and cocktail perfect to kick off the weekend. Enjoy!

This was my little "bon voyage" Fridays with Oscar since I left for my Mediterranean Cruise the following Sunday. I kept my outfit simple, but chic with patch pocket flare jeans that are oh-so-popular this season. So easy to wear dressed up or down, today I went with a drapey print top from J.Crew.

This Friday, I am wearing the Refined Utility Pant from Banana Republic. I was skeptical about these pants when I ordered them but I was so happy when I tried them on. I am wearing a petite size 0. They fit like a dream, are very flattering, and are so comfortable. They're easy to dress up or down, they wear really well, and don't wrinkle easily. I absolutely love these pants!
A simple striped tee is an easy way to style these pants for a casual Friday. The Greta Ballet Flat is one of my go-to ballet flats and while this Kilt Red version is sold out, they come in so many other colors, like the Ruby Port in Suede.

This is a simple cocktail that is fun to make for a group because you can serve it right in the Topo Chico Bottle! The Strawberry simple syrup is also simple to make - so all in all, a very "casual Friday" kind of drink!
Another great dip for a group whether you're entertaining for a party, or hosting a game day tailgate, Baked Chorizo Corn Dip is flavorful and simple to prepare. Serve it with corn chips or street-style tortillas.
Ciao, Bella from Oscar, Ollie, Kelly, and yours truly!

Oh my gosh! I’ve been vacationing in Italy and left Sorrento Tuesday for Rome after a week. I saw the Windjammer in port! Small world!
Beth, I’m sure you don’t remember me, but I emailed you to complement you on how you have survived losing your husband. You told me it would take time to think about “me” instead of “we”. I recently returned from a solo driving trip to a beautiful Inn and spa in the Adirondacks that my husband and I had been visiting for over 30 years. We already had these reservations made prior to his unexpected passing. I had decided to honor my husband by visiting all the places that we went to together. It’s only been 6 months, and there are good days and bad. Thank you for responding personally to me. It helped.
