this post brought to you by Halsbrook #ad
if you have been following the blog for any length of time, then Halsbrook is a familiar face to you. if you are a new reader, then it is my great privilege to introduce the Halsbrook shopping experience that’s custom made for the sophisticated modern woman. here’s a little background shared on an earlier post:
Halsbrook is a fairly young company, launched in 2012 by Harvard Business School graduate Halsey Schroeder who envisioned an online luxury fashion boutique where classic meets modern. what i particularly like about Halsbrook, besides the fact it’s run by a woman entrepreneur, is that they offer styling guides to visually put together different looks for any day and any occasion. this, along with concierge-like personal service, combined with the ease of a user-friendly website make shopping at Halsbrook a breeze. oh, and there’s free shipping and returns. plus, there are over 70 american and european designer brands to shop. have i piqued your interest? then let me share two gorgeous outfits. the first dress is from L.K. Bennett a British affordable luxury brand founded in London in 1990 by Linda Bennett. the second dress is from Marc Cain founded in 1973 by Helmut Schlotterer, the Chairman of the Board; Marc Cain is an international, globally operating brand for woman’s fashion located in the German Southwest.
this crisp cotton-blend dress is the perfect choice for chic summer style. and we all know i’m on a pursuit to add more dresses into my wardrobe. there’s nothing easier or more feminine to wear than a dress. what i love about this tweed dress from L.K. Bennett is its classic style. but the trim around the neck, sleeves, and pockets injects a nautical flair that keeps this dress fresh and modern. to add a little fun to this classic ootd, i pumped up the volume with bold jewelry. a statement necklace by Janis by Janis Savitt features a single coin design with a toggle closure. an iridescent crystal stone bracelet from Julie Vos adds a touch of elegance. but i couldn’t resist stacking it with a gold studded hinge bracelet from Alexis Bittar for extra oomph. a classic black crossbody handbag from Joanna Maxham add the spit and polish this outfit deserves.

doesn’t this black faux leather dress from Marc Cain have FUN written all over it?! this little beauty can be dressed up with a pair of pumps for a day at the office or dressed down with a pair of sandals for a relaxed weekend look. this shift dress is one of the easiest silhouettes to pull off. but i always say the devil is in the details, and this LBD is set apart from the pack with knitted black and white trim around the neckline and sleeves. accessories are kept to a minimum as this smart and chic dress takes center stage. the black crossbody handbag is back in action. this time the strap was removed and its carried as a clutch.
a big thank you to Halsbrook for this sponsored post. and thank you lovely readers for supporting the brands that allow me to bring you fresh ideas.

Never heard of the line, will look them up. Love the black shift!
The first dress is right up my alley. Love it. The entire ensemble is perfect.
I seriously love both of these looks, jewelry included! Looks like a great line.
So far, I have really liked the Halsbrook clothes you’ve displayed. These are no exception. You look terrific in each! And they each look classic with a flair–my favorite kinds of outfits.
These two dresses fit you beautifully – you continue being such an inspiration.
