happy fourth of July!
not a long post today. just sharing snippets of the festivities. last night the kiddos and their significant others (and i) hopped in the car and headed to the Georgia Club for a barbecue and fireworks show. and we were not disappointed! what a difference a year makes. there’s nothing better than celebrating Independence Day unless that’s celebrating with a community.
Georgia has dished up a delightful summer so far. and last night was one for the books. no humidity with temps in the eighties dipping down to the seventies by the time the fireworks were on display. no complaints here! while i slipped into a comfy pair of shorts and linen shirt for the outdoor soiree this adorable outfit was worn this past weekend and i just had to share.
these slim fit pants (size 8 fits tts) are from Talbots. love the splattered shades of blue plus the side zip that eliminates bulk. a sleeveless cotton sweater also from Talbots is the perfect companion to a bold print. and Talbots is offering 50% off site wide today. but my new espadrilles from Tory Burch steal the show. Tory is having their semi-annual sale so if you love this brand now’s the time to shop. besides the espadrilles (sold out, similar here) i snagged a ruffle wrap dress and a colorblock turtleneck.
love all the fashion inspiration. aren’t these red sneakers adorable? love the simple white skirt and navy tee.

A question. I don’t wear sleeveless as do a lot of “women of a certain age”. I like elbow or longer sleeves. Would you please feature longer sleeves from time to time? Elbow llngth during the summer.

Love all the fun pictures,clothes,fireworks star covered chairs! Looks like a fun time was had by all. Ours at the Florida Yacht Club is tonight. So hopefully we will get t see some great fireworks,etc. There are so many Georgia fans in our neighberhood I feel like we have been there. Also one son is a graduate of the Education school there, so another connetion for one Gator and a Seminole! Ugga used to come visit one family when GEorgia played in our town. KIds loved him!
there is that rivalry! glad to know there are Bulldawg fans that have infiltrated Florida.

Looks like a great time at the Georgia Club and some great outfits. It reminds me of 4th of July celebrations at Fort Vancouver in Vancouver, WA.

it was truly a lovely weekend spent with my family.
As a long time reader I love your blog and you and your family. I know you have lived around the world in many cultures and that your marriage reflected a desire for harmony and peace among all people. But the Photos of the Georgia Club July 4th celebration look very segregated to me and don’t seem to reflect America and your own values. Why not go somewhere else next year? This blog is for everyone.
