is there a ladies luncheon on your calendar this spring? or perhaps a bridal or baby shower? many of you write in, asking for special occasion outfit ideas. and i think today’s ootd is perfect for just such an outing. i’m always thrilled when i find a skirt that hits below the knees (although this season the midi is making a comeback – bigtime) because that length has ‘ladylike’ written all over it. blush pink can be paired with a variety of colors, but this striped tee i’ve had for years matched beautifully. if you can believe it, this tee was purchased for our trip to europe in 2003 to celebrate our oldest son’s high school graduation. he now has a ph.d! that graduation was celebrated last summer with a little less fanfare – bowling night and giants game. but isn’t it fun when clothes conjure up memories?! the navy blazer has been featured on the blog numerous times and was last seen here. nude pumps, a few baubles and i’m ready for a lovely ladies lunch.

Pretty in pink ! So glad skirts are not up to the lady bits these days… You got your money’s worth out of the tee… xoxo
pink is definitely one of my favorite colors, but i love this blush or ballet pink because is it so feminine! if i pro-rated that tee over its lifespan i think jcrew would owe me money…

Your soft pink or I like to say ballet pink is so great. It is one of my most favorite colors. It is so nice to see you get dressed up for a luncheon. Everything is jeans, jeans, and more jeans at almost any affair these days. Don’t get me wrong I love jeans, but dressing up for an event makes it special. Another great outfit Beth.
