remember the days when your mother warned you not to mix a pattern with a stripe? well, those days are over. and i couldn’t be happier. the current trend of mixing patterns just makes your outfit that more interesting. one of the tricks i use is a small print over large or vice-versa. for instance, in today’s ootd the skirt has a large print in vibrant citron with a hint of grey. so i chose a top that’s a bit more subtle with delicate stripes and muted grey. but the overall look is classic due to the pencil skirt that never goes out of style. neither do stripes for that matter. a pair of metallic sandals brings symmetry to this sporty and cool look that’s a modern style slam dunk. and perfect for any time of day.

When you wear a skirt do you ever wear hose? If not, do you wear a bronzer on your legs? Thanks for what you do. I SO enjoy your style blog.
hi sandy!
thanks for stopping by. i rarely wear hose and haven’t for years, but we also live in a mild climate where i can get away with that easier than my friends up north. and i do use lotion with a self tanner so my legs don’t look lily white.
