okay, gang, i may have bitten off more than i can chew with this Nordstrom dressing room diaries post! but i’m giving it the old college try. remember those all-nighters we pulled come mid-terms and finals? of course, when you’re nineteen staying up all night doesn’t wear you out quite like when you’re fifty-nine…technically, i didn’t stay up all night, but i have been up since 6am pulling photos and links together.
if you read yesterday’s post you know, i zipped down to Atlanta and picked up lisa a.k.a. The Silver Stylist on my way. since i have yet to receive the bulk of my Nordstrom Anniversary haul, i decided to take matters into my own hands and see what the brick and mortar store had to offer. the challenge? find five outfits and share with all of my lovely readers. lisa took the challenge head-on with me so scroll through the photos (taken by yours truly and my iphone 6) to see what we discovered. don’t worry, after our dressing room escapades we enjoyed a lovely lunch complete with wine. who says shopping isn’t hard work?! ‘cuz it is.

first up, lisa chose a vibrant yellow blouse, menswear blazer, and the cutest snap track pants. my outfit includes a cozy cable knit sweater, cropped leather flares, and Barbour utility jacket. each of us chose slip-on mules. mine are AGL lisa is wearing Marc Fisher.

round two, lisa is wearing a pair of on-trend tuxedo denim leggings, striped tee and the infamous Veronica Beard blazer with zip in hoodie dickie. my outfit consists of wide-leg pinstripe pants (love them), a vibrant sweater, and a boiled wool overcoat.

session three lisa chose red pants, neutral sweater with buttons, and studded pumps. i gravitated towards a pleated shirtdress with a twist. isn’t the asymmetrical hem modern and fresh? sky high pumps complete my look.

round four of the Nordstrom dressing room diaries finds lisa in a fun and flirty dress, moto jacket, black booties and Tory Burch tote. cropped flare leather pants are back in action this time paired with a simple blouse and booties.

i know, i know, i’m wearing two different shoes. but i couldn’t decide which looked better so i’ll leave that up to you! lisa is wearing a red skirt that’s currently en route to my house. and i’m so happy this skirt was one of my original picks. it’s absolutely darling! for the life of me, i could not find the USA sweater online. if you spy this cute sweater, let me know. white mules and trenchcoat polish this ootd off in style. this asymmetrical sweater might be my favorite from our try-on session. it’s a beautiful weight, color and fit. the pants didn’t photograph well but they are gorgeous and a timeless classic that will last for years.

phew! this was a whirlwind trip, to say the least. but let me know if you find this type of post helpful! so many bloggers utilize try-on sessions, but this is my first stab at it so your feedback will be invaluable. happy tuesday!
