<outfit post> black pencil skirt:
i am a true believer that style doesn’t have to throw your bank balance into a nose dive. if you build your wardrobe on a firm foundation filled with classic items you will be able to wear them over and over again, creating a different look each time. this week, i thought it would be fun if i challenged myself to pick one item from my closet and style it five different ways.
i selected a black pencil skirt that i bought several years ago for a conference. over the course of this week, i will pair the skirt with different accessories to create a diverse work/business ensemble.
to kick off my ‘9 to 5’ week i chose a timeless color scheme of black and white. a simple white french cuff blouse and a classic houndstooth blazer combine effortlessly with the black pencil skirt. black belt, black pumps, and black handbag help polish off the look in keeping with the business appropriate look. now, i am ready to face the challenges that Monday always seems to bring.
