i’m an old school prepster at heart so, for me, nothing can beat the classic look of a pencil skirt and blazer. or jeans and a blazer. it works every time, and is a tried and true look that is 100% american classic. i almost went with my gingham shirt today, but at the last minute replaced it with horizontal stripes. the orange blazer i have on today was originally purchased for my niece’s wedding almost three years ago. for the special day i paired the blazer with a white custom made shirt, and black pencil skirt. its versatility can’t be beaten, and that’s something i always keep in mind when i’m adding pieces to my wardrobe.

What an adorable outfit! I’m going to steal your ideas, if you don’t mind. After wearing scrubs for almost 30 years I find myself working in an office setting now, so I’ve had to buy a whole new wardrobe. What fun I’ve had shopping and perusing Pinterest and the fashion blogs!
