no matter what date the calendar falls on, there is one wardrobe staple that transitions from one season to the next with ease. spring, summer, fall or winter denim is always a perfect choice. no wonder magazines dedicate entire issues to new and cool ways to wear our beloved blue jeans. and when your skinny jeans or boyfriends need a break there’s always a denim dress or skirt waiting in the wings to slip into. or if you prefer, exchange your tried-and-true blues for white or even pink if that color tsuits your fancy. but wait. what about denim jumpsuits or, gasp, overalls? well, those are a great choice if you are so inclined.
as you can see from today’s montage of photos, there’s a style and wash for all of us blue jean mamas. so sit back and relax on this sunday afternoon. put your feet up, grab a beverage and scroll through my denim round-up. i hope you’ll walk away with a few ideas and some inspiration.
happy sunday!

Lots of great denim looks. I love to mix denim with pieces that are not so casual to mix things up a bit, too. The denim industry should hire you because you do a fabulous job here of highlighting its versatility. 😉 And Oscar is looking so sweet throughout this post. He approves as well.
well, here’s another one i missed… i think i need to hire an assistant! but you’re right, sue, about mixing denim with high end items. it always works and looks tres chic.

I am definitely a denim lover. I just added a denim skirt and 3 new pairs of jeans. Your looks definitely inspire – thank you!
denim is just so darn versatile. i don’t think you could ever have ‘too many’ pairs of jeans.

I love jeans, however can’t wear them to work. Can you give me the details of the jeans you are wearing in the picture that is 3rd from the bottom. (grey turtleneck and sweater with camel booties). I really like them!
hi talia!
sorry i missed this comment! but the jeans you asked about are j.crew straight cut. they’re from several years ago so just look for a jean with a looser fit around the legs. boot cut or straight should do the trick.
