front and center for this week’s shop sunday style is my mother ship – Talbots. this has been the store i have regularly frequented since my twenties, and for good reason. this is the brand that features preppy, classic style with a modern twist. if you are looking for a one-stop shop that carries everything from accessories to swimwear to a special occasion for every size – petite, regular, and plus-size – then look no further. no matter what part of the country i am currently in, i know that once i walk inside Talbots i will find something (usually more than one thing) that i will love for years and years. this brand has consistently delivered modern classics to women of any age since their first shop opened in Hingham, MA in 1947. i particularly love Talbots as they were the only U.S. store that shipped to Guam, our home from 2000 – 2004. they kept me looking fresh and modern with their paisley shift dresses, ballet flats, and more than one swimsuit during those years spent on a tropical island. today, i’m just as big a fan as ever. from their chic office-ready pencil skirts to their flawless five-pocket jeans Talbots just keeps on consistently delivering the preppy style that defines my look. and i’m pretty sure they’ll keep on doing just that for years to come. so let’s take a look at what’s currently piqued my interest. although, i can’t wait for their summer lookbook to be released. it’s chock full of must-have items.

hafa adai! guam is where america starts her day. the navy base is on the southern tip and the air force is on the northern tip. both ends have the most beautiful beaches!
