And just like that, it’s Friday! TGIF, gang!ย We’ve got a fun and easy one for you today—a simple style formula that works every time.ย That’s ’cause we’re cruising through January at a record pace, and who has time for something complicated on a Friday? At least it seems like that, as by Sunday, we’re halfway through the month.
All I know is that another week has come and gone, and it’s time to kick up our heels and relax. This will be the first weekend in weeks when I don’t have to tackle a project. Hooray! Knock on wood, but I’m all caught up on life. And that’s a good thing!
Of course, my best buddy is by my side to kick things off. I have a healthy and delicious main dish that’s become one of my favorites. And January is a good time to mix a bourbon cocktail to chase the chill away. Are you ready?ย

A Simple Style Formula That Works Every Time
1. Raglan Sleeve Sweater
(Ann Taylor)
An easy outfit formula for winter is a sweater + denim + booties. Honestly, we don’t have to reinvent the wheel when it comes to a casual chic outfit. This time of year a sweater is a practical yet stylish solution to battle the elements.
This raglan sleeve sweater from Ann Taylor has buttons on either side of the neckline and a chevron pattern in neutral colors. Camel and white is a classic color combo that always looks chic.
And what can I say about a pair of jeans that hasn’t been said? They just work this time of year. But I do like a wide variety of denim from bootcut to cropped flares to simple straight-leg jeans in a dark rinse.
This straight-leg pair from Ralph Lauren runs small, so size up one size. Some even suggested sizing up two. This happens with RL from time to time with no rhyme or reason. And it’s usually with denim. Go figure!
Since boot season is in full swing it’s time to slip into a pair of suede booties from Coach that adds height with a block heel.ย

LOVE your cut & color Beth!
Same color as always, although the light is the determining factor of how it shows up on camera. But my hair is almost where it needs to be. It’s been a journey!
Yum – both recipes! Just heard Georgia was part of that scary storm – please stay safe.
