y’all know i try my best to get my bootie to the gym. whether i hop on my Peloton at home or head to Pilates class. recently i added Orange Theory to my routine after a three-year hiatus. that dang knee that required knee replacement surgery had me sidelined for a few years before and after. but i’m baaaccckkk! since workouts are a priority, i take my workout gear seriously. it’s easy staying fit and stylish with Zella, a brand exclusive to Nordstrom that i rely on year in and year out. during the epic Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, so many Zella pieces are on sale! this is the time of year when i stock up, so i’ve rounded up a few of my favorites to share!
it’s important to stay fit at any age. but workouts take on a whole new meaning as we age. it’s essential to incorporate exercise into your routine. regular physical activity helps prevent many common diseases and improves our overall immune system. even light exercise like walking is a powerful tool to help prevent disease. and we all know the mental benefits of exercise. it’s those endorphins! did you know that exercise has been linked to improving sleep? plus, regular physical activity helps our cognitive skills. studies suggest a lower risk of dementia for physically active seniors. and exercise improves our strength and flexibility that improves our balance and coordination, reducing the risk of falls. so let’s get up and move!
strength training is key to improve our muscle tone. we lose muscle at an alarming rate after menopause.
love these no-show socks from Zella.
a few of my favorite things about Nordstrom.

Hi Beth
you can do it ,you steel young.
For the weights are getting harder to do.
That is the reason you can show your arms and look good!!
How are you able to kneel on your knee replacement? I have two new knees and do not like the feel of kneeling on the floor. Do you just push on against pain, or can it be done? I ask because I gained the Covid 15 and need to get with it excersize wise. I enjoy your postings and find outfit inspiration. If you can do it I should be able to try it also.
I’ve had one knee replacement, 7 months ago and thought the same thing about you kneeling Beth. I do it, but it’s definitely an odd feeling. What are your thoughts on kneeling and Pilates with a knee replacement?
Also, the black blazer with the black and white scarf you styled yesterday, can you link it please? Thank you!
Kelley
well, i’m not certain how i do it. i worked very hard after surgery with Pilates to get back in shape. it was tender the first few months after surgery but now i can kneel with no issues. it could be my diet or supplements which keep me healthy and energized. but i don’t have a definitive answer for you.
