Slide Sandals are characterized not only by their slip-on, or slide-in style, but they typically feature on or two straps that you slide your foot under. Slides, like most other sandal styles, can be casual to dressy depending on their material, color, heel height and embellishments.
Flip Flop Sandals
Very similar to slide sandals, flip flops are slip-on styles that can also range from casual to dressy depending on the material, heel height, and embellishments. The main characteristic of flip flip sandals is the thong-style strap that goes between the first and second toes. Espadrilles
The shoe of summer, Espadrilles are characterized by their braided rope soles. They come in a wide range of styles from mules, to lace-up; and a wide range of heel heights included wedges platforms, and flats. The uppers also vary from leather to linen. Espadrilles can be dressed up or down depending on material, embellishments and heel height.
Summer Occasion Sandals
With so many special occasions to dress for during the summer months, Nordstrom has you covered with a dizzying number of brands, styles, heel heights, and more! You can find styles ranging from strappy to chunky, low heels, ultra-high heels, and so much in between; a rainbow of colors, and neutrals from clear vinyl to metallic. A great thing about sandals is that many styles can go from everyday to special occasion very easily when it’s in a metallic material.

Raffia
Another sandal style that screams summer is those made with raffia or straw. These are characterized by the upper or vamp being constructed of braided or woven grasses – some real, some synthetic. These sandals are almost always offered in a natural hue, making them beautiful neutrals that add a striking textural component to any outfit.
