don’t you love it when women come together to empower and inspire women? well, today it is my great pleasure to partner with Talbots and Oprah Magazine who have joined forces once again to create this limited 9-piece capsule collection. it’s a collection that i’ll be able to mix and match with all my spring duds for months to come. and the best part? 30% of the net proceeds will benefit Dress for Success a not-for-profit organization that helps women re-enter the work force and reinforces career development. you see, doing good and looking good can go hand-in-hand.
today, i couldn’t be more pleased to give you a glimpse of the collection that was designed for women, to support women that’s available in stores and online. last year Talbots helped over 20,000 women with the proceeds raised from their capsule collection. if it’s time to spring-clean your closet please consider donating your gently worn work clothes at your local Talbots store from march 2 – march 5th. all clothing donations go directly to Dress for Success. monetary donations are also accepted in store and at Talbots.com/DFS through april 2nd.
for today’s ootd i paired this jazzy polka dot cardi and striped shell over cropped pants. how’s that for pattern mixing? but i couldn’t forget a pop of color. but instead of tying the scarf around my neck i decided to use it as a belt. and to polish this outfit off a polka dot tote is the perfect accessory.
are you ready to step into spring? i know i am, and this little number is going to help me do it in style. but don’t forget that when you shop this collection you are giving women confidence, hope, and style.

Love the mix of patterns and the coordinating trim on the cardigan, handbag, and scarf. Polished, yet effortless outfit that empowers women – can’t beat that!
hi darlene!
i missed this comment. but isn’t it great to see two great brands come together and support an amazing non-profit?! and the collection is pretty darn cute.

Pretty–It’s the small pops of color that really do enhance and make a look stand out. I like the mules–they’re cute! I don’t know these days if I can do mules–I’ll have to try and see. I have some gorgeous flat shoes, but I never do backless anymore unless I have a strap to ensure the shoe will stay put–my RA has impacted my legs and ankles, and I fear slipping otherwise. But this looks great.
and yes–a great cause–glad to see they’re partnering up again! xo
i so love dress for success – women empowering women is dear to my heart.
these mules are cute and nice to wear on occasion for a change of pace. a few years ago, when they were on trend i owned several pairs and wore them non-stop.
