Happy Monday, gang! I hope you enjoyed your weekend. I'm showcasing the perfect spring blazer. But before I do, just a quick update after a week of technical difficulties.
Here at Casa Djalali I was a busy bee. The painters finished on Saturday morning so I spent the weekend pulling the house back together both inside and out.
I can’t tell you what a difference new floors and fresh paint make! I can’t wait to share the results with you. And I finally planted all of my container gardens on the front porch and back patios. I’m headed out of town three times in the next month so I had to make the final push to get these projects ticked off my to-do list. But, boy, do I love watching my garden grow all spring and summer.
Today, I'm featuring the perfect spring blazer from Banana Republic
The blazer is modeled and I pulled in 2 alternates

Y’all know I sign the praises of blazers. They’re the perfect third layer any time of year that add spit and polish to your outfit. A classic navy blazer with gold buttons is truly an investment piece that will span a number of years. But I also love to add a trendy blazer to my wardrobe from time to time. So I couldn’t resist adding this double-breasted moss green linen blazer from Banana Republic to my cart.

What I love about this blazer is that it’s oversized giving it a “borrowed from the boys” kind of look. The sleeves are lined as well as the upper back. And it has matching trousers and shorts which I decided to add to my cart too… But I love to wear a suit, including a short suit for summer or resort vacations.

I kept the overall look simple today by adding a tee. But I amped up the volume with accessories. A belt from Tory Burch, a handbag (old, similar here) from Coach, metallic slingbacks from J.Crew, and gold accessories - gold coin necklace and hoop earrings. This outfit is perfect for brunch, date night or vacay.

Lovely outfit-thats my color.
Isn’t this a beautiful shade of green?! Just love it!
I love the color but this oversized blazer and pants just looks sloppy. If it were ,ore fitted it would be great. This might look great on a young woman but as we get older we need to avoid anything that makes us look sloppy (unkempt) – in my opinion.
I agree. I just don’t like the wide leg pants at all.
That’s too bad, Patricia. Wide-leg trousers are not only on trend but so much fun to wear.
As we age, it’s essential to embrace new silhouettes. That’s how we stay modern, fresh, and relevant not stale and stodgy.
Yes! And I like to embrace new silhouettes … I have a few wide-legged pants and I disagree with Patricia. I think they can look flattering for any age; they’re ageless. You look really GOOD in the suit, Beth. (But, I don’t need to tell you that!)
You look great in this suit, Beth! Thanks for reminding us this season, any season, bodes well for this look.
Thanks, Carolina Girl! I can’t tell you how many compliments I’ve received on this outfit!
