’tis the season with a reason. and that means buying a gift or two for loved ones near and far. all over the world friends and families give presents to each other this time of year to celebrate jesus birth. most children around the world believe in a christmas gift bringer. santa claus, father christmas or good ‘ole st. nick are the common names given. but spain believes in the wise men, germany calls him the christkind, and italy has an old lady by the name of befana.
and where does santa leave his gifts to be opened on christmas morning? in italy, the uk, and the usa presents are left in stockings. in most countries, gifts are left under the christmas tree. but whatever traditions you may have there’s nothing quite like seeing a loved one open their present! so i’ve gathered up a ‘few of my favorite things’ today to make your shopping expeditions easier. happy shopping!
