Mint leaves for garnish
Instructions
Cocktail Instructions
Pour all ingredients in a shaker with a small handful of ice and shake for 30 seconds.
Serve over ice. Garnish with mint leaves.
Mocktail Instructions
I omitted the vodka and replaced it with Topo Chico mineral water. You could also substitute Sprite.
Watermelon juice
If you want to make your own watermelon juice, add cubed watermelon to a blender then strain through a fine mesh strainer.

When on vacation it isn’t the time to go on a diet. Don’t ever feel guilty for indulging when traveling. Oscar is the best!
You are 100% right! Vacations always come to an end so we need to enjoy every minute!
I love the linen shirt, but when I clicked and saw it was $188 I had to say something. That is a price I could never afford to pay for one top no matter how much I love the look. I am not meaning to bash you in any way, just wish I could find a blogger to read who takes into account us ladies who cannot afford the luxury items you (and the 4 or 5 others I read daily) wear. Is there any blog out there I could follow and actually afford to purchase items they present?
Hi Martha,
Yes, J. McLaughlin is pricey, but the quality of their clothes is excellent. We do feature Walmart on the blog so I hope you have read those posts as well as a slew of mid-priced brands like Talbots and J.Crew. And we do offer budget alternatives to many items.
Hope this helps!
I wonder as certain blogs get popular, if the blogger is gifted items that are higher end prices. A few bloggers I have followed, over time, are starting to feature more expensive items from shoes, accessories and clothes. I do not know the blogger environment, but I have seen notes that state something about being sponsored or if they feature the item, they earn some compensation. Thank you, Beth, for providing a variety! Oscar is adorable and Kelly’s petite options are great.
If I am partnering with a brand, we always note that in the post, so the readers understand I am being compensated. Regarding gifted items, that depends on
the blogger; many go that route. I do not accept gifted items but work with brands on sponsored posts where I receive compensation.
Thanks for stopping by!
Well, well, well, doesn’t Mr. Oscar look so handsome this morning! Good morning Oscar! Love seeing your smile on Friday’s, but don’t tell my pups I said that.
Your post is right on the money today. I spent some tine this morning sorting through my linen shirts, now I have a white, a beautiful yellow (almost a butter cup yellow) a dark brown and a black. The black and browns ones are over ten years old, but still look great.
Selecting classic cuts and styles makes them last a lot longer.
Classic style has staying power along with quality. Have a great weekend!
Hello Oscar!! My love 💓. So good to see you. Its a great Friday when you make the photo shoot!
Love y’all,
