My Favorite Home and Kitchen items of 2022
I am always on the lookout for new kitchen gear. This collection of items are some of my 2022 favorites; items I have found indispensable like the Matfer Bourgeat Exoglass Pelton Slotted Spatula; items that have made my life a lot easier like the iRobot Roomba i3 Self-Emptying Vacuum and the Chef’s Choice Electric Knife Sharpener. I use the Nespresso Vertuo Coffee and Espresso Maker by De’Longhi everyday. Also included is a set of Nonstick Cookware by MadeโขIn; I have had a number of nonstick cookware over the years and this set is by far the best quality I have tried.

My Favorite Beauty Items of 2022
I switched over to clean, cruelty-free beauty products several years ago and it’s easier than ever to find clean beauty and skincare products. Also, I tend to rotate and switch up my skincare products every couple or few months, which means I am always looking for new products. Recently I discovered Osea and I really like their Osea Ocean Eyes Eye Serum, it’s cooling and hydrating, giving my under eye area a great lift in the morning. When I need a little extra under my eyes, I use Acure Radically Rejuvenating Under Eye Hydrogel Mask. I have been using these hydrogels a couple times a week for years and I just love them! Here are the rest of my top products of 2022.ย

This year I pulled the trigger on a few items that I have been looking for for a long time. When you’re patient and you have your eyes out for something; just waiting for the perfect fit or style, it’s very satisfying when that item comes along. For me this year, that was the Washed Leather Motorcycle Jacket (Madewell) and the Veronica Combat Boots from Frye. There was another item that I didn’t include in this list (though I should have!), and that is the Saint Laurent Small Loulou Bag. I guess I will unofficially add the Loulou to this list of my favorite fashion items of 2022!
Washed Leather Motorcycle Jacket (Madewell) | Comme des Garรงons Play x Converse Chuck Taylor High Tops (Nordstrom) | Veronica Combat Boots (Frye) | High Rise Vintage Slim Jeans (Gap) | Lauren Ralph Lauren Mid Rise Patchwork Jean (Bloomingdale’s) | Transport Shoulder Cross Body Bag (Madwell) | Normani Lace Up Mary Janes (Madewell) | Similar Metallic Fisherman Sandals (Anthropologie) | Tom Ford Beatrix Sunglasses (Nordstrom)

My Fondest Christmas Memory
The Christmas memory that stands out to me the most is the year my grandfather built a Victorian dollhouse for me and my sister. She and I were about 4 and 6 years old, respectively. The dollhouse was set on a table by the Christmas tree with a sheet over it, so we had no idea what was under there and I remember the anticipation was killing us!ย
It was my grandma’s favorite thing to give me and my sister boring ol’ clothes for Christmas. But that year we were so enamored with the dollhouse, that the tell-tale rectangular clothes boxes from JC Penney didn’t phase us.ย
The dollhouse was furnished, though they were sure not to overdo it. The birthdays and Christmases that followed ensured we could build the collection of miniature items over time. My sister and I played with that dollhouse for years. It was endless fun to create situations for the miniature family, and I loved rearranging the furniture. This particular memory makes me fondly reflect on the times before video games and digital technologies ruled the day.

Great skincare suggestions. I have been using the Osea body oil and really like the smell and fragrance. I have been switching to cruelty free also โฆ and I hate to say it โฆ but being on the cruelty free path I wish you had purchased a faux leather jacket instead of the real thing โฆ anthropology had some beautiful faux leather Moro jackets. Just saying!
Hi Johanna, I will have to try the Osea Body Oil โ I bet it’s especially great for skin in the winter. I hope you had a wonderful holiday. xo Kelly
