what i wore in florida

if it’s monday, i’m in florida. the first two days in the sunshine state were spent working. and the last two days are all about fun before we catch our flight back to georgia. whenever fort lauderdale comes to mind images of bright colors, beaches, flamingos, alligators, pools, tropical storms, boats, golf, and shopping spring to mind. not certain if we’ll make it to the sawgrass mills mall but it claims over 350 designer outlets, specialty shops, and restaurants, including my favorites tory burch and bloomingdales. on our last day in town, it’s a toss-up between visiting delray beach and the riverwalk arts and entertainment district. 

many of you remember this silk button up blouse. it was purchased specifically for florida, but i couldn’t wait to trot it out before our trip. today it’s paired with white chinos, green flats similar here, and an adorable monogrammed straw handbag. yes, my initials really are BAD. there were lots of questions about this the other day over on Instagram.

this straw bag is the perfect size for the beach.

who knew i was a pool shark? we have a pool table in our family room at home.
