Kicking off this week with a glimpse of the American Queen and the Mississippi River Boat Cruise. Every cruise has daytime and evening excursions and activities. Nighttime is all about dinner then a show. Several evenings Kelly and I dined alone. Other evenings, we joined the incredible staff members from the American Queen headquarters that were also on the President’s Cruise. So today, I wanted to give you a look at what I wore to dinner on my river cruise.
It was so much fun meeting new people and getting to know them better as chugged our way from New Orleans to Memphis. I’ll have a full recap on Wednesday so don’t miss that post! So what did I wear to dinner? A dress is always tucked inside my suitcase to wear to dinner.
Of course, these days a casual dress code is in place for most occasions which means comfortable yet polished. However, I’m a big believer in always putting your best foot forward especially when it comes to dining out.

This time of year light colors and bold patterns are a welcome addition to my closet. It’s time to start transitioning from winter to spring.
