what a relaxing week it’s been onboard the Norwegian Getaway. today was a port day where we disembarked the ship and explored Tortola the largest and most populated of the British Virgin Islands. it’s a sleepy island with lush green mountains and white sandy beaches. Tortola was named by Christopher Columbus and means turtle dove in Spanish.
whenever i think of island style bold and bright colors, come to mind. with the temps in the low eighties and nothing but blue skies and sunshine, i chose lightweight cropped green pants from Ralph Lauren. a sleeveless mixed striped top which sold out since last posted was the perfect accompaniment. similar here and here. a hat is a must-have on a warm weather vacation. this panama hat protected my face from the sun when we were out and about yet adds a cool jazzy vibe. last but not least, white sandals and a nylon crossbody handbag finish this ootd off with a little oomph.
