what to wear on a chilly day
since our temperatures bounced around quite a bit this past week today’s ootd is titled what to wear on a chilly day. yes, we’ve had highs hovering in the sixties the past few days – i’ll take it! in my book that’s the perfect weather. not too hot and not too cold. thankfully, many of you are thawing out from the deep freeze that gripped the country last week. hooray! while you may not be skipping around town without a jacket, this outfit can easily be adapted to your world with the addition of booties, socks, or any other item to keep you warm and stylish.
with valentine’s day on the horizon, i have all things love on my mind. this darling modern classic shirt from Boden has a playful pink and orange lips print to get me into the holiday spirit. it’s paired with a ruffle neck sweater from J.Crew with a cotton/poly wool blend that makes it a nice transitional layer to ease into warmer temps. it matches perfectly with high rise slim boy chino’s. patent leather loafers (similar here and here) and an iconic speedy bag finish this sporty chic outfit with subtle sophistication. don’t forget to add a bauble or two. today i chose a Tory Burch T-leather bracelet and giraffe hinge bracelet (similar here).
