Target can be treacherous territory. any time i head into that store i never quite know what will end up in my shopping cart. paper towels, lipstick, wine or clothes all have a shot at coming home with me. i like to think of it as an equal opportunity shopping expedition where anything and everything is fair game. so it was no surprise to mr. style when he spied an espresso machine in our cart along with this snazzy shorts suit from Who What Wear.
one reason to love Target is shopping the trends without breaking the bank. although i might disagree that shorts suits or camo are technically trends. both have been making fashion statements for years. in particular, shorts suits seem to pick up steam every summer. there’s something edgy about pairing a blazer or jacket with matching shorts. it’s a modern twist to a traditional suit that’s polished and chic yet still casual. wear the shorts without the jacket for a fun daytime look. then simply add the jacket to turn day into night.
shorts | sweater | jacket | similar sandals | similar belt | similar handbag
add a few gold accessories for extra spit and polish. but the hobo handbag keeps the ootd casual.

I can totally relate, Beth! We just went into Target to get a swimsuit, and $200 later…..
But they have such fabulous offerings, and I ended up with a green polka dot dress!!
I can’t believe I’ve been wearing camo lately too!! I heard it described as men’s floral which cracks me up!!

Hi. I love your sleeveless turtle, bag and sandals <3 Have a great day!
Love the outfit – These used to be called “Hot Pants Suits” in the old days! Still great – I’m on my way to Target.
i do remember hot pants! i think i had a pair of pink suede if i’m not mistaken. loved them. but then i was fourteen or fifteen at the time. good luck at target! but be careful what winds up in your cart.
xo
I recently purchased a sleeveless turtleneck from Talbot that was on sale–it’s a wider neck, sort of Audrey-inspired, but I love it. To me, there’s something chic about a sleeveless turtleneck and shorts or skirts or long pants. The camo is a pop of pattern here!
This is one amazing short suit ! Fab print.
