I want my travel outfit to be easy, stylish, and functional. Enter the Spanx Air Essentials Collection which is hands down the BEST activewear! Well, I’m a big fan of Vuori too…
Several months ago, I featured the Spanx half zip and matching wide-leg pants on the blog and Instagram. I LOVE that set so much I knew I would be adding on to my activewear collection. This time I chose a mock neck top, cropped wide legs, and tapered pants.
I love the Aspen Travel Set, so comfy for lounging and traveling. You can get the set, or you can get the pieces separately, with the Catherine Sweatpants and the Effie Sweatshirt.
One of the unique aspects of Frank & Eileen is that they replicate their styles in a variety of fabrics. For instance, the Wicklow Italian Chino comes in Italian performance twill, like I am wearing here, also find it in Italian Performance Denim and Italian Performance Linen. So if twill isn’t your thing, and you like this style, you can reach for the denim or linen versions.
You never quite know what temperature changes you'll encounter, so a cashmere cardigan is a great option. A cardigan from Quince in a neutral color will go with any outfit.
Slip-on shoes are the easiest for travel. Enter a pair of metallic flip-flops from J.Crew Factory that are a great choice with the tapered pants. Or a pair of platform sneakers adds balance to the outfit. You can’t go wrong with either outfit from Spanx Air Essentials.
I love a shirtdress, talk about a dream vacation piece. So easy to wear for so many types of activities. Dress it up with a belt and heels for a night out, or wear it as a beach cover-up. Cool and breezy, the Rory Dress is a classic!
For a separate return outfit, I want to be just as comfortable. Vuori Performance Joggers, matching tank, and a jean jacket. I always hit the ground running once I am back in Athens: grocery store, nursery, and a few other errands thrown in for good measure so I want to be comfy yet put together.
You never know who you will run into. Right?! it's forecasted to rain, so my trusty jean jacket is back in action!
There are always lots of questions about my luggage. I travel with the Delsey Chatelet Collection and couldn’t be more pleased with the set! There are multiple sizes for luggage and they feature backpacks and totes as well. I often bring my 28” Check-In Spinner if I anticipate photo shoots.
And I always bring my laptop computer on trips. This Tory Burch Zip Tote is the perfect size to fit my laptop as well as the leather laptop envelope I like to slip it into for protection when I’m traveling.
Skincare
I also pack travel-size skincare from Colleen Rothschild. The set comes with seven essential skincare products and its own travel bag! For a little extra something The Exploration Collection offers four skincare goodies that will come in handy on your trip.
Packing Cubes
Packing cubes help you stay organized. They come in different sizes from extra small to large. Use packing cubes to separate lingerie from swimsuits or your tops from your bottoms. Calpak is a durable choice that’s available at Nordstrom but Amazon carries tons of packing cubes for a bargain.
Toiletry Bag
A good toiletry bag is a godsend. Hanging toiletry bags are quite popular. I have a monogrammed set from Mark & Graham that includes a cosmetics case and travel pouch.
Makeup Case
Stock up on your favorite beauty products that come in mini sizes. That way your cosmetic bag is always ready to throw in your suitcase at a moment’s notice. But a great makeup/cosmetic bag is a must! For some reason, I was always forgetting to pack my makeup brushes until I purchased this makeup bag that has a special pouch for brushes. It also has adjustable dividers and a shoulder strap.
Pill Case
Organizing medication, supplements, and vitamins has never been easier than with a pill case
Jewelry Case
Don’t forget to invest in jewelry boxes to easily stash your jewelry. I travel with a hard case and/or roll-up jewelry pouch.
Travel Tip:
Charger Rollup
Keep your tech essentials within easy reach with a leather charger rollup. Headphones, charging cords, etc… need to be accessible while traveling. Am I right?!
Portable Charger
Never leave home without a portable charger.

Hi Beth! I love your travel suggestions for luggage, packing and stocking up on mini sizes so you are always ready to go. I also travel a lot, and one thing that is a rule for me is never wearing flip flop style footwear through the airport. Yes they are cute and comfy, but all kinds of bad things can happen in an environment where people are rushing to and fro while dragging multiple bags or strollers, etc. stick with your platform sneakers and save the flip flops for later!
I whole-heartedly agree about flip flops and airports. This particular travel outfit was via automobile. Thanks for stopping by!
Believe it or not, even flight attendants discourage wearing sandals or open toe shoes on flights..Why? The “WATER” on the floor of the bathrooms is not exactly water.
Have to disagree with your suggestion of wearing sandals on air travel. Even flight attendants discourage the wearing of sandals or open-toe shoes. Reason – bathrooms on flights usually have “WATER” on floors but it is not really water.
Therefore keep this in mind when packing.

I completely agree. The outfit you’re speaking of was via car not airplane. All the other outfits reflected airline travel and a pair of comfy sneakers.
Love your Spanx Air outfit — color and look! And your Talbots/Haven cocoon cardigan matches wonderfully, adding a touch of texture/interest. (Might have to get one of those/on sale too.) Thanks for this useful post!
