wheels up gang, as it’s time to head to new york. actually, this post should have been published yesterday but what with hurricane michael barreling his way through georgia and a 5:30 am wake up call to catch our flight somehow the blog post was sidelined. those of you who tune into friday’s post specifically for a glimpse of oscar and ollie, take heart, they’ll return next week along with a yummy recipe.
while we’re waiting, i’ll share my nyc packing list with you. as i always gear my outfits to the occasion, you might be curious as to what’s on the agenda this weekend? both work and play as i’ll attend a conference, two cocktail parties, saturday in manhattan, brunch and a broadway show. can you believe after all these years i still haven’t seen Wicked? guess i’ll finally get to check that off my to-do list.
denim | tee | similar silk scarf | similar trench coat | sneakers
this outfit will double for brunch and the theater. if you’ve followed the blog long enough you know, i love pink. and these pink corduroy pants are certainly pinkilicious.
pants | similar sweater | blazer | similar shoes | handbag
when it’s five o’clock, it’s time to relax. my favorite kind of outfit is simple and chic. this one fits the bill thanks to a polka dot blouse with ruffled sleeves. add stripe shoes, and this ootn is darn near perfect.
pants | blouse | shoes | handbag
this little number can easily take me to a number of places in nyc. it’s laid back but polished. my kind of sophisticated casual.
pants | blouse | blazer | similar shoes | handbag
an all-day conference needs a little black dress with a touch of leo. okay, maybe a lot of leo. but this blazer will be on repeat all season long. it’s a smoking jacket, and blazer rolled into one. can you say FUN?!
similar dress | jacket | similar booties | handbag
saturday in manhattan requires a stroll through central park, maybe an exhibit and a pitstop to bloomies.
pants | similar plaid shirt | sweater | similar jacket | belt | similar shoes | handbag
every vacay needs pajamas and a robe. this cute set came along with me to florida and is making a repeat appearance in new york.
everyone but everyone sings the praises of packing cubes. it was high time i gave them a whirl. i started with a small set that holds my lingerie, handbags, and accessories. so far i’m impressed.
it was time to invest in a tech charger roll up. it corrals all of the necessities in one place.

Hope you have a fabulous visit to my “little” town. You will certainly look gorgeous in those great outfits. At least the weather will be cooperating. Photos please!
Glad you and Mr. Style are safe and Athens was spared the effects of Hurricane Michael.
Fall is my favorite time of year for weather and the colors that translate so well into our clothing
choices. Love all the outfits you put together for your trip. Can’t wait to see the pics.
BTW, what brand of luggage do you have? Looks sturdy and holds alot.
Those looks are all perfect! I really do love that jacket with the pocket flaps and collar details. Might have to look into that…sounds like a wonderful trip. If the weather there is anything like what we are having today, you’ll love it. We’re having a high in the 60’s, which is making me excited for fall temps and no more hurricanes. You’ll get a kick out of Wicked. It really is fun. Yay! Enjoy!
Hi Beth. Great outfit choices and love the packing cubes and charging roll up case perfect ideas for holiday gift giving. You’re going to have good weather to go with those smart looks. Hoping one of these days when you’re in NYC we can connect!! Have fun! 💕

You are quite a hefty packer. Everything you packed looks so polished. I hope you have a fabulous time.
