The Desert Bird
The Desert Bird is a tequila-based drink with pineapple juice for a tropical sweetness, while Campari gives it a bitter edge.
Makes: 2 Cocktails
Ingredients:
- 3 ounces bacanora mezcal, or tequila
- 1 ½ ounces pineapple gum or simple syrup mixed with equal parts pineapple juice
- 1 ounce Campari
- 1 ounce fresh lime juice
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 sprigs of mint for garnish
Instructions:
- Shake all the ingredients together in a cocktail shaker; strain over ice. Serve with a mint sprig.
